Mrs H had been married to her husband for a very long time and it came as a huge shock when he announced he wanted a divorce.
She was deeply distressed and it was difficult for her to process the news and even harder to have to then deal with the legal process.
I supported her throughout her divorce and she kindly agreed to share her story of the work we did together:
What was going on for you that prompted you to get in touch with Rhiannon in the first place?
“My husband informed me that he wanted to end our marriage.”
What in particular did you want help with when you first started working with Rhiannon?
“I knew that I would need help navigating through the divorce process and that I couldn’t do it without expert advice mercifully I knew Rhiannon and she was the first person I contacted.”
What did you find most helpful about working with Rhiannon in the early stages of your separation/divorce?
“Rhiannon gave me sensible bite sized advice and was prepared to repeat the information regularly, my ability to process information was severely hampered as a result of the upset caused by the end of my marriage. She also helped me to find a solicitor and to prepare for my first meeting so that I felt more in control and my time was well utilised.”
How has working with Rhiannon helped you during the legal process of your divorce?
“has given me sensible, practical advice throughout the legal process. She has suggested options that have meant I’ve been able to take a bit more control of a convoluted and painful process. She also saved me solicitor’s fees by supporting and empowering me to fill in the multiple forms that the legal process demands rather than getting the solicitor to fill them in.”
What have been any other benefits of working with Rhiannon?
“The combination of Rhiannon’s legal background along with her coaching expertise means that she fully understands the legal procedure that is undertaken as well as the human impact that this awful process inflicts on you. There is no doubt that I would have struggled to get through this difficult process without Rhiannon’s guidance and support.”
What would you say to someone considering getting a divorce as to how Rhiannon might be able to help them?
“That Rhiannon offers sensible, professional and empathetic advice at a pace that suits you. Her service can help you through the whole process if needed, she fills in the gaps that solicitors and the legal structure creates and can reduce your solicitor’s very hefty fees along the way.”
