Mrs S’s husband took her by surprise when he told her he wanted a divorce. She explained to me that she was keen to get support and guidance for her divorce, as her ‘spouse is controlling over finances‘.
He was also moving at top speed having already instructed an estate agent to value the family home.
She was feeling rushed to get on board with his decision and needed advice about her options and next steps.
Her husband was putting her under pressure to agree to a financial settlement he had decided upon.
She has kindly agreed to share her story about the work we are doing together.
When divorce comes out of the blue.
What was going on for you that prompted you to get in
touch with Rhiannon in the first place?
“My husband told me he was divorcing me out of the blue. It took me by surprise, and I didn’t really know what my next steps should be, prompting me to contact Rhiannon.”

What in particular did you want help with when you first started working with Rhiannon?
“I had no understanding of the divorce process, what to consider or where to begin. My initial need was to get an understanding of what I should be doing, and all the different things that I needed to consider and how to navigate myself through the process.”
