Rhiannon Ford’s Background
Meet Rhiannon Ford – My Background & Story
I’m Rhiannon Ford, a divorce consultant and coach with a background as a family law solicitor. My work is built on a straightforward belief that going through separation or divorce shouldn’t mean going through it alone.
From Family Law to Divorce Consultancy
I qualified as a solicitor in 1998 and spent many years practising family law, supporting clients through the legal process of separation and divorce. I saw first-hand how overwhelming that time can be, not just emotionally, but practically and financially too.
Over the years, it became clear that people needed more than legal representation. They needed someone to help them make sense of everything else, the paperwork, the decisions, the everyday changes. That’s why I founded my consultancy: to offer clear, compassionate, and practical guidance through all stages of divorce.
My Professional Experience & Approach
My legal training gives me a solid understanding of the divorce process, while my work as a coach helps me provide structure, clarity, and confidence to those navigating it.
I combine professional insight with empathy, offering grounded advice and realistic next steps, not legal jargon. My approach is calm, supportive, and focused on helping you move forward in the way that feels right for you.
My background includes:
- Over 25 years’ experience supporting people through separation and divorce.
- Former family law solicitor working with clients across the UK.
- Trained in personal development coaching.
- Featured contributor to media and family law discussions.
- Member of Resolution, promoting constructive approaches to separation. I also won the Working in Collaboration Award at the Resolution Awards 2024.
What This Means for You
Choosing a divorce consultant means having someone in your corner who understands both the legal system and the human experience of divorce.
I’ll help you:
- Understand what to expect and prepare for next steps
- Communicate clearly with your solicitor
- Stay focused, organised, and emotionally steady
- Plan for the practical side of life after divorce
It’s not about replacing legal advice, it’s about making the whole process more manageable and less overwhelming.
Life Beyond Work
When I’m not working, I love walking, the theatre and going to the cinema. These small moments of calm remind me why finding balance matters, especially when life feels uncertain.
