How to navigate friendships once you are divorced.

I often get asked how to navigate friendships once you are divorced.

Going through a divorce can be a challenging and emotional time, and it’s common to experience changes in your friendships as a result.

Here are some tips for navigating friendships after a divorce:

Be honest with your friends.

It’s important to be open and honest with your friends about your divorce and how you’re feeling. Let them know that you may need some space or support during this time.

Focus on positive relationships.

Surround yourself with friends who are supportive and positive. Avoid those who are judgmental or negative about your divorce.

Connect with other divorced individuals.

Consider joining a support group or connecting with

other individuals who have gone through a divorce. They may be able to provide valuable advice and support.

Take time for yourself.

It’s important to take time for yourself and focus on your own well-being. This can include engaging in self-care activities or pursuing hobbies that you enjoy.

Don’t rush into new friendships or relationships.

Take your time when it comes to forming new friendships or romantic relationships. It’s important to focus on healing and rebuilding your life before jumping into new commitments.

Remember, going through a divorce is a difficult time, but it’s important to prioritize your own well-being and surround yourself with positive, supportive people.
